Conrad Hilton
December 25, 1887 – January 3, 1979
Conrad Nicholson Hilton was born in San Antonio, New Mexico.
The Innkeeper to the World was a life long friend of William Keleher.
Conrad once asked William if he would like to go into the Hotel business and William declined to focus on his young Law Practice Keleher & McLeod which became the oldest, largest and most prestigious Law Firm in New Mexico history. It has long been rumored in the Family that William Keleher ghost wrote Conrad Hilton’s autobiography “Be My Guest” along with Sisters Julia Keleher and Katherine Keleher who were both English Professors at the University of New Mexico. A copy of the book which was published in 1957 by Prentice Hall is placed in every Hilton Hotel room.
William Keleher wrote:

  • The Fabulous Frontier
  • Turmoil in New Mexico
  • Turmoil in New Mexico, 1846-1868
